Description

This volume was maintained by Harrie E. Green, the Superintendent of Ooldea Mission, who forwarded it to the Department for Community Welfare in 1972.

The volume gives births, baptisms, marriages, deaths and lists of residents at Ooldea. It also contains various notes regarding customs, totems and traditions, and notes regarding Aboriginal performances for the film 'Kangaroo' (20th Century Fox).

Includes copy of a letter dated 1972 from Mr Green explaining the use of the volume. Volume ends with the annotation "Mission Closed. Natives transferred to Yalata 1 July 1952" . The government bought Yalata Station for the Ooldea Aborigines in 1951.
