Secure care file (86 file) estray documents, alphabetical series (GRS/11369)

This series consists of documents that should have been placed on the client's secure care file or 86 file. The records include South Australian Youth Remand and Assessment Centre admission forms and over age assessment reports. The information included is name, age, address, date of birth, family history, assessment panel reports including sentence recommendations to the courts and appearance descriptions. These records relate to Aboriginal persons only or sample files as required by RDS 2000/17:2.1.5, ie clients whose surname begins with the letter 'P'.

The amount of records incorrectly stored is substantial and due to the amount of resources taken to place the records on the appropriate file, the agency has decided to dispose of the records separately. The same sentence has been applied to these records as the client file to ensure they are retained for the correct amount of time. Over time when these records are called for by subpoena or Freedom of Information requests the records will be married up.

The documents are ordered alphabetically by surname.
