Files in this series contain a number of 'sub-file' types which include Type 55 'Psychology', Type 86 'Secure Care', Type 87 'Financial Counselling', Type 88 'Crown Referral', Type 89 'Appeals and Complaints', Type 94 'Country Liaison' and Type 97 'Freedom of Information'.

The 'Psychology' sub-file contains reports relevant to the referral of the client to the psychologist and material obtained during the course of the referral, e.g. case conference reports, other medical, social work, psychiatric or psychological reports, interview notes, test materials, etc.

The 'Secure Care' sub-file will contain mandates, sentencing remarks, update of personal details, review board report forms, etc.

The 'Financial Counselling' sub-file consists of application for service, statement of expenses, disclosure of authority, copies of sundry documents, copies of incoming and outgoing correspondence.

The 'Crown Referral' sub-file contains information required by Crown Law to present the application to Court.

The 'Appeals & Complaints' sub-file contains information which refers to internal enquiries, investigations of FACS customers' complaints and external enquiries such as Ombudsman enquiries, etc.

The 'Country Liaison' sub-file is similar to the Client File Type 85.
The 'Freedom of Information' sub-file should contain only that information relating specifically to FOI requests and subsequent processing of those requests.

Consignment 1 consists of Type 85 files.

Whilst this series commenced in 1985, many files have related documents which predate this contained in them.

The records have two tiered numeric file numbers but are arranged alphabetically by surname.
