Woodside Camp School (GA2304)

Woodside Camp School was officially opened by the Director of Education in 1949 (1) predominantly for the children of post-war migrants housed in the Woodside Accommodation Centre, although the children of some of the camp staff also attended (2).

Many of the students attended the school with little or no knowledge of English. From 1960, when reasonably proficient in English, a child was enrolled at Oakbank Area School (3).

Woodside Camp School was closed in 1962 (4).
