Description
This series consists of reports of the Inspectress of Licensed Foster Mothers and Wetnurses.
Gives date of inspection, name and address of licensee (foster mother), name and age of foster child, amount paid for maintenance, condition of child, condition of home and licensee.
Contains entries for the Salvation Army Maternity Home (Carrington Street).
Volume 8 also has reports of cases of destitution, 1881-1883.
