Description
This series comprises a one (1) volume letter book of the Superintendent of the Boys' Reformatory at Magill, from 1937 to 1939. The volume contains press copies of type written letters.
Most of the letters were addressed to the Secretary of the Children's Welfare and Public Relief Board, and included reports on the administration of the Reformatory, such as staff matters and stores used, as well as reports on individual inmates, including absconding, conduct and punishments. Notices to Reformatory staff about shifts are also included in this volume.
This volume has alphabetical index pages which are unused. The volume itself has only partially been used.
