Description
This series consists of the Admission Schedules accompanying the patient on admission to Enfield Receiving House, 1922-1974, and to Enfield Hospital, 1975-1979. For details of the Receiving House system see Section 32 of the Mental Defectives Act, 1935.
Information varies over time, and from patient to patient but includes documents prescribed under the Act, but can include 'Statement of Particulars' giving personal details (name, age, address, civil status, children, religion etc), 'Medical Certificate for Reception into a Receiving House' giving psychiatric details, warrants for further detention and discharge papers.
Arranged by annual single number. Numbers for particular patients may be obtained by using the Admission Registers (see GRS13191).
