Description
This series contains volumes of clinical notes relating to births in the Downstairs Labour Ward at McBride Maternity Hospital.
Entries include woman's first name, name of doctor and/or nurses present, date and time of delivery, baby's gender and weight and clinical notes relating to the birth.
Arranged chronologically by date of admission to the ward.
These records relate to unmarried women only. For case books relating to married women, see GRS 13681. From 1961, clinical notes relating to unmarried women were also included in this series.
