Description
This series consists of registers of admission and discharges maintained by the McBride Maternity Hospital.
They appear to have been produced for statistical purposes as they record all adults in the Hospital at the beginning of each year and then admissions and discharges for each week. Admission are recorded on the left and discharges on the right.
Entries for admissions in the first volume include number, name, date and remarks and entries for discharges include number, name, date and address. The front of this volume also contains loose sheets recording weekly statistics of the numbers of adults and babies in the Hospital from 1954 to 1957, and admissions and discharges of mothers and babies from 1960 to 1964.
In the second volume, entries for both admissions and discharges give date and name only.
In both volumes, entries for married women give surname only.
There is a gap for the period 1934 to 1954.
