Description
This series consists of volumes recording the discharge or death of patients from Enfield Receiving Home. They cover the period January 1938 to November 1968 for discharges and January 1938 to August 1970 for deaths.
The section for discharges is at the front each volume and records number of discharge, number in admission register, date of discharge, patient name, whether first attack, congential or unknown, sex, age on discharge, civil state, age on commencement of present attack, section of Act under which discharged, country where born, form of mental disorder, duration of attack on admission, length of time in hospital, total duration of attack, name and address of responsible relative, and remarks. Entries include less detail over time, with the latest entries recording only number of discharge, number in admission register, date of discharge, patient name and whether certified or information admission.
The section for deaths is located at the back of each volume and records number of death, number in admission register, patient name, age at death, civil state, sex, date of death, duration of time in Receiving House, cause of death, previous place of abode, name of relative or friend to whom death was communicated and undertaker's name.
