Description
This series consists of volumes registering notices relating to patients of Enfield Receiving House sent to the Inspector-General of Hospitals, later Director-General of Medical Services, for sanction under the Mental Defectives Act, 1935.
The volumes record patient's admission number and name, proposed movement, date notice sent, date notice returned and remarks.
The patient movements include admissions, trial leave, and discharges that required the sanction of the Inspector-General of Hospitals, later Director-General of Medical Services, under the Mental Defectives Act, 1935.
