Record of discharges - Northfield Mental Hospital (GRS/16058)

This series contains registers of patients discharged from Northfield Mental Hospital.

The registers record discharge no., no. in admission register, date of discharge, name of patient, sex, age on discharge, marital status, age on commencement of present attack, country or state of birth, length of time in hospital, and remarks regarding leave, section of the act applicable to the patient, etc.

Earlier entires also record whether first attack, form of mental disorder, aetiological factors, duration of attack on admission, total duration of attack, and name and relationship to patient of responsible relative. Later entries include section of the act under which patient was discharged.

The series appears to have ended in 1964, when the hospital changed its name to Hillcrest Hospital.
