Admission registers - Point McLeay, later Raukkan Aboriginal School (GRS/16154)

This series contains the admission registers for the Point McLeay, later Raukkan Aboriginal School.

Admission registers provide a record of all students admitted to the school, in order of their enrolment.

Information recorded includes gender, register number, date of admission, name of the student, date of birth, church denomination, name of enrolling parent/guardian and their occupation, address, last schools and when left, grade on admission, attendance, date of leaving, and any other remarks.

The front of the volume contains a 'Register of teachers in charge', which gives their signature, date of taking charge, date of leaving, school transferred from, and any other remarks.

Earlier volumes are located in GRG 18/335/1.

Arranged chronologically, however there are some overlaps between the volumes as some students were subsequently re-entered in later volume(s).
