Schedule of group nominations for free or assisted passage (GRS/16519)

This series consists of a volume containing forms submitted by employers seeking to nominate UK nationals for an assisted passage to migrate to South Australia to fill vacant positions that could not be filled locally. Also includes nominations of unaccompanied children for free passage under the Commonwealth Child Migration Scheme. The forms were submitted by the South Australian Director of Immigration to the Commonwealth Minister for Immigration for approval.

Details recorded on the forms varies slightly over time, but generally includes information about the persons sought such as number of people, age ranges and occupations required, pay rates, details of accommodation to be provided and costs, and name and address of nominating employer. The forms do not give names of individuals who were selected to migrate under the group nominations, instead see GRG7/88 and GRS 16517.
