Description
This series contains cards which are an alphabetical index of youths admitted to the Centre. The cards are called by a number of names - admission cards or sheets, intake record cards or liaison cards.
The cards record - name, age and date of birth of youth; names, addresses and contact numbers of parents or guardians; height, weight and distinguishing marks; reasons for admittance - court of committal, sentence; date admitted and released; number of days to serve; absconding details (if any); current or outstanding warrants; office, social work and region responsible for the youth; and remarks.
There are separate sequences and record types for boys and girls. The girls admission and personal particulars sheets date from 1972 to 1994. Some of these were created by Vaughan House before it became SAYRAC in 1979, however only a handful of cards in this series relate to this time. The boys intake record cards date from 1979 to 1992.
This series also includes admission index cards for Lochiel Park (boys only) from 1979 to 1990 and roll call sheets for SAYRAC dated 1990 to 1993.
Arranged alphabetically.
