Matrimonial agreements - Family Maintenance (Type 20) (GRS/7773)

DESCRIPTION: This series consists of documentation that is now placed in the client files (Matrimonial - Family Maintenance [20]. The documentation is the original maintenance agreement, which records as to the maintenance of the child or children. The agreement stipulates: The amount to be paid for future maintenance of the child; Payments made on a particular date and when regular payments are to be made; The agreement states where payments are to be paid. The Family Maintenance Officer of the Department prepares the document. Once the document has been written it is then sent out to the Payer to sign and have witness and then it is sent to the Payee. The agreement is signed by both parties on each page and on the last page it must have the signatures of the witnesses. Once both parties have signed the agreement it is then sent to the Magistrates Court of South Australia for registration.
