Annual statistical reports - Northfield Mental Hospital (GRS/8312)

This series consists of a variety of statistical reports. It includes animal and plant husbandry returns for the State Statist, staff resources and patient returns (including returns for Swedish and Norwegian patients) for the Director General of Medical Services. Statistical compilations include details of birth places of patients, details of deaths, admissions, transfers, discharges, buildings existing and planned. In some cases individuals are identified with name and date of birth and mental/physical ailments or cause of death. It identifies some patients who were serving members of the armed forces. It has been decided to treat these documents as a collection of 'de facto' annual reports which will help to fill the gaps in the series GRG 34/38 for the hospital.
