Description
Migrants under the age of 21, not travelling with or joining close relatives, came under the guardianship of the Commonwealth Minister of Immigration. As the Minister was not in position ot carry out his obligations, authority was delegated in SA to the Children's Welfare and Public Relief Board.
These files are not publicly available for a period of 80 years. Access to files during the restriction period is through the Adoption and Family Information Service.
