Description
This series comprises one (1) volume night log kept by the Boys' Reformatory, Magill form April 1956 to February 1957.
The volume is a lined exercise book in which Reformatory staff recorded happenings between 10.30 pm and 6.30 am. This included: the number of boys in the school, the times boys were called to get up and the time officers came on duty. Boys on kitchen duty or milking duty were called at an earlier hour than other boys.
Notes to other staff were also recorded in this volume, as well as any incidents during the night, such as attempted absconding and illness. Pasted inside the front cover is a sheet of instructions for emergencies during the night.
