Description
Date ranges refer to date child first committed to the care of the Department. Lists were probably first commenced in c1880 using existing cases.
This series contains 2 volumes: volume 1 covers 1869-1952, and volume 2 covers 1873 to 1969. Although the date ranges overlap between the volumes, the bulk of the entries in volume 2 are from 1948 onwards.
