Register of inmates - Home for Incurables, later Julia Farr Centre (GRS/16798)

This series contains registers giving admissions of inmates to the Home for Incurables, later Julia Farr Centre. The Home for Incurables provided residence and support for people suffering from incurable diseases and injuries.

Registers give name, age, date of admission, nature of malady, previous occupation, residence, nationality, religion, years in the colony, name and abode of nearest relative or friend, date of death or cause of discharge. Later volumes also give marital status.

Consignment 2 contains three volumes of office copy registers which record admissions 1 to 6401 (1879 - 1983). The office copies duplicate the entries in the main registers.
