Annual reports - Home for Incurables, later Julia Farr Centre (GRS/17716)

This series contains annual reports from the Home for Incurables (1879 - 1981), the Julia Farr Centre (1982 - 1994) and Julia Farr Services (1995 - 2007), as well as the Julia Farr Centre Foundation (1990 - 1993).

Early annual reports were issued by the Board of Management to subscribers. They include minutes from Annual Meetings of Subscribers, reports from committees, financial statements, and statements of subscriptions and donations.

From the 20th century, photographs of the buildings, residents and staff are very common and reports from the 1960s and 1970s feature short biographies of some residents.

Until 1984, the reports appear to cover a calendar year. From 1985, the reports cover financial years but are labelled by the year they were published (i.e. the Annual Report for 1994-1995 is labelled '1995') until 1996-1997. There is no report for the 2005-2006 financial year included in the series.

This series also contains annual reports from the Julia Farr Centre Foundation Inc. from 1990 to 1993. The Julia Farr Centre Foundation Inc. had a number of objectives, outlined in the 1990 report, and were responsible for fundraising, research, support, and promotion of the Julia Farr Centre.
